About the Job
B. Barmalt Malting (India) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager (Quality) to join our team. This role requires a candidate with strong laboratory skills and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sampling and Analysis:
Conduct physical, chemical, and organoleptic analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, water, and packaging materials.
Record Management:
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all analyses performed.
Sample Preservation:
Ensure proper preservation and storage of samples as per manuals.
Shelf-Life Studies:
Conduct shelf-life studies as required.
Research & Development:
Assist in R&D activities for new products and processes.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure timely calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Hygiene Compliance:
Adhere to hygiene standards as per GHP (Good Hygiene Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
Inventory Management:
Maintain laboratory chemicals and consumables inventory.
Training:
Conduct training sessions for laboratory staff.
Plant Quality Standards:
Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GHP, and food safety standards are upheld in the plant.
SOP Creation:
Assist in preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Additional Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Senior Executive.
Supporting the Laboratory Supervisor in coordinating laboratory activities and overseeing junior staff.
Management reserves the right to amend the role description.
Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned by the department head.
Skills Required
Strong laboratory skills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of GHP, GLP, GMP, and food safety practices.
