Position Summary
As the Assistant Manager – Projects, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our Nashik Manufacturing Facility operates seamlessly, delivering on its plan with minimal disruptions and costs. You will oversee a range of capital projects, from small-scale improvements to large-scale initiatives, leading diverse teams and collaborating across functions. Your role will require a blend of technical skill, project management acumen, and a proactive approach to enhancing plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead projects to meet technical, quality, and budgetary targets, including developing project charters and managing capital budgets.
Design and Execution: Conduct design and implementation based on GMI standards, safety, and quality regulations, ensuring efficient project timelines and cost management.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for capacity enhancement, efficiency improvements, and debottlenecking to optimize plant performance.
Quality Assurance: Maintain equipment and process standards in line with GMP, HACCP, and sanitary design requirements.
Safety Oversight: Ensure all safety protocols are followed during construction and ongoing operations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and contractors, supporting sourcing processes and capital project approvals.
Mentorship: Guide and develop manufacturing teams in idea generation and execution excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical).
8+ years in capital project execution within plant operations, with a strong understanding of equipment design, material impact, and compliance with food safety and environmental standards.
Proven project engineering experience in scope definition, cost estimation, and concurrent assignment execution.
Strong technical leadership with problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Knowledge of Food Manufacturing Regulatory Standards.
2+ years of experience in Plant Maintenance.
Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Vertical Start-up methodologies.
