Position Details:
Job Title: Assistant Manager – Production (AM- FC-Batch Process)
Grade: 8/9A
Business Unit: Production – Fine Chemicals
Location: Bharuch
Reports to: Plant Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Production is responsible for executing production operations during shifts, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, and maintaining costs within the budget. The role includes controlling operating parameters, maintaining logbooks, preparing daily production reports, and ensuring adherence to SOPs and company EHS policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee plant operations during shifts, ensuring smooth running and adherence to SOPs.
- Maintain logbooks, shift reports, and ensure accurate batch entry in ERP (SAP/BAAN).
- Ensure compliance with company EHS policies and manage the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Implement ISO 9000, ISO-14000, OHSAS-18000, TPM, and WCM standards.
- Lead the training and development of team members and ensure the implementation of 5S in the plant and office.
Number of Reportees: 2-3
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience or M.Sc in Organic Chemistry with 6-10 years of experience in a Fine Chemical/Bulk Drug/API Plant.
- Practical experience in handling reactors, centrifuges, and filters used in API/Bulk Drug/Batch Chemical plants.
- Competence in managing manpower during shifts and exposure to ERP or similar software.
