Position: Assistant Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Guwahati, Assam, India
At PepsiCo, we believe in creating more smiles with every sip and every bite. We are looking for a driven Assistant Manager – Manufacturing to support high-volume production operations and lead shop-floor excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Production Manager in achieving shift-wise production targets
- Ensure optimum manpower utilization, minimum wastage & maximum efficiency
- Plan machine, line & SKU combinations based on dispatch priorities
- Ensure SOP, quality, hygiene, safety & TPM compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce downtime
- Manage shift rosters for permanent & contract manpower
- Ensure accurate batch closing, stock verification & documentation
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Quality & Agro teams
- Ensure compliance with SOX and PepsiCo core processes
Assistant Manager – Manufacturing|PepsiCo
People Leadership
- Coach & motivate teams to build a high-performing production workforce
- Maintain shop-floor discipline and resolve grievances
- Partner with HR for multi-skilling and training initiatives
- Lead change management and continuous improvement programs
Job Dimensions
- Production Volume: ~140 tons/day
- Shift Ownership: Complete plant operations during assigned shift
- Team Size: ~70 (including contractual manpower)
- Outbound Logistics: AVC & ADC
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: BE (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Chemical / Food Technology)
- Experience: 4–8 years (FMCG / Food & Beverage preferred)
- Languages: English, Hindi & local language preferred
- Strong communication & result-driven mindset
