Role Overview

As a Packaging Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating smart, food-safe packaging solutions that combine great design, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze diverse food menus to design optimal packaging formats
Create structural & visual packaging mockups (2D & 3D)
Collaborate with chefs, product teams & vendors
Finalize material specs (GSM, coating, etc.) ensuring cost optimization
Prepare costing sheets & ensure vendor coordination
Ensure compliance with food safety, microwaveability & delivery durability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Diploma in Packaging Tech, Product/Industrial Design, or related
2+ years in food packaging design (QSR, FMCG, or sustainable packaging preferred)

Key Skills

Expertise in structural packaging, corrugated design
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, ArtiosCAD/AutoCAD
Knowledge of food-grade papers, coatings & materials
Strong vendor coordination, pricing & problem-solving skills

Bonus Points For

Experience with biodegradable/eco-friendly packaging
Understanding of FSSAI/FDA packaging norms
Knowledge of Swiggy/Zomato delivery packaging standards
